Das ursprünglich aus der Region Venetien stammende Ciabatta ist in ganz Italien beliebt. Es hat eine knusprige Kruste und eine sehr wabenförmige Krume, die aus einem Mehl mit hoher Wasseraufnahmefähigkeit hergestellt wird. Es ist ein sehr vielseitiges Produkt, das sich sowohl als Tischbrot als auch als Füllung für hervorragende Sandwiches eignet.
Weichweizenmehl Typ "0", Wasser, Olivenöl (2%), Salz, Hefe.
30 Minuten bei Raumtemperatur auftauen lassen, dann im heißen Ofen bei 180-190°C etwa 7-8 Minuten backen. Die Backtemperatur kann je nach Art des verwendeten Ofens variieren. Ohne Auftauen 12 +/-2 Minuten bei 185°C +/- 5 °C bei vollem Ofen backen.
